Sexual violence survivors rarely get the justice they deserve in the United States. Even worse, the perpetrators are left free to sexually assault and harass as many people as they want. This issue takes many forms, but it will take the community to create an environment where sexual violence is no longer accepted in our society.
- Every 73 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted
- Only 5 out of every 1000 sexual assault perpetrators will end up in prison.
Current sexual assault training blames the survivors and attempts to teach people what to do to avoid getting assaulted. What about the person committing sexual assault? They are the ones that took action, so they should be held accountable for those actions.
Some of the tough topics involving sexual violence include the following:
- Alcohol and Consent
- Workplace Harassment
